Why Nanocon exists
When you join a channel on most messaging platforms today, you're shown everything — every sub-channel, every notification, every thread — regardless of whether it's relevant to you. You either mute everything or drown in it.
We thought there had to be a better way. A channel should let a creator organise their work across as many sub-channels as they need, while subscribers see only what they've chosen to join. Notifications should only fire for conversations you've deliberately opted into. Meetings should arrive in your inbox, not in a chat message you missed.
That's the problem Nanocon is built to solve — not just in messaging, but across the full surface area of how teams actually work together: chat, channels, meetings, tables, and task boards.
What we're building
Nanocon is an all-in-one workspace that brings together five core tools under one roof, each designed with the same philosophy: give the user control, keep the UI clean, and eliminate the clutter that other tools accept as inevitable.
Where we are
Nanocon is currently in active beta development. The core messaging and channel system is built and in testing. Hubs, Table, and Drag are progressing toward their first public build.
We're a small, focused team — which means every decision we make is deliberate, every feature earns its place, and we're not in a rush to ship something half-baked just to claim we launched.
Phase 1 contributions are open now, and every contributor is part of shaping what this becomes.
