The short version: Nanocon does not sell your data. We do not show you ads. 1:1 chat messages are end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read them. We collect only what we need to run the product and we tell you exactly what that is below.
1. Who we are
Nanocon is a communication and productivity application developed and operated by the Nanocon team. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at support@nanocon.in.
2. What we collect and why
We collect only the minimum data required to provide and improve the service:
- Account information — name, email address, and optional profile photo. Used to identify your account and enable other users to find and communicate with you.
- Message content — 1:1 direct messages are end-to-end encrypted. Only you and the recipient can read them. Channel messages are encrypted in transit and stored securely.
- Usage data — feature interactions, session length, and crash reports (no message content). Used to fix bugs and improve the app.
- Device information — operating system version, app version, and device type. Used for compatibility and troubleshooting.
- Contribution data — if you contribute to Phase 1, we store your name, email, amount, and coin balance. This is required to fulfil our reward obligations.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not read, scan, or analyse your encrypted 1:1 messages.
- We do not collect your contacts or address book.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not build advertising profiles or sell data to third parties.
- We do not use third-party ad networks inside the Nanocon app.
4. How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored on secure servers. 1:1 messages use end-to-end encryption so that only the communicating parties can decrypt message content — Nanocon holds no decryption key for these messages.
All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. We apply access controls internally and restrict data access to team members who need it to do their jobs.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:
- Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting and database services required to run the product. These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely.
- Payment processors — contribution payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full card details.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose data if required by a valid legal order. We will notify you where we are legally permitted to do so.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to processing of your data.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

7. Children's privacy
Nanocon is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. Cookies and tracking
The Nanocon website uses only essential cookies — session and preference storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The app itself does not use cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users via the app or email for material changes. Continued use of Nanocon after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
